Ecco dunque il tema del mese: il picnic.
Aiutarvi a riproporre una vostra versione del Dejuner sur l’herbe, parlandovi di ispirazioni e oggetti in stile: dalla tovaglia alla griglia, dal cestino alle ricette, dal quando… al dove.
Grandi promesse, grandi premesse e poi? tutto quello che ho da offrirvi è solo uno sproloquio sui picnic? vi ho anche parlato di guerrilla gardening, verde verticale, riutilizzo e poi apro così…
Beh, il mio intento è quello di provare a dimostrare che un tema semplice come questo possa essere declinato in maniera interessante.
Non voglio certo rovinare la spontaneità di un evento come il picnic, ma sono convinta che la buona riuscita dell’evento dipenda anche da un minimo di progettazione (o organizzazione a seconda dei punti di vista).
Già nel post -25 parlo di come l’outdoor design intervenga a risolvere tutti quelli che possono essere i bisogni dei commensali: la sola tovaglia a quadri può essere considerata come un’azione progettuale, spontanea magari, ma pur sempre con l’intento di intervenire sulla natura per renderla più accogliente a questa attività…
La scelta di questo tema vuole anche provare a portare in italia e con più precisione a Milano (città dalla quale scrivo), l’idea di picnic come momento di incontro; vuole provare a mettere le basi per creare un “movimento” di riappropriazione degli spazi pubblici, che siano essi giardini, parchi, piazze o canali.
Le immagini che ancora mi brillano negli occhi sono quelle di quando ero a Parigi, dove i momenti più belli li ho passati seduta a terra attorno ad una tovaglia cosparsa di delizie chiacchierando con ogni sorta di persone..al tramonto la consuetudine era il bordo della senna o uno dei tanti ponti pedonali che la attraversano; la domenica invece, l’usanza era di andare in uno dei numerosi parchi della città.
Mi rendo conto che Milano non offra le stesse possibilità di Parigi, soprattutto per quanto riguarda gli spazi pubblici, ma Milano sta cercando di cambiare ed è piena di gente che farebbe di tutto per mostrare le sue potenzialità: ecco perchè tutto parte dal picnic… perchè quello che voglio fare con questo blog e percorrere i temi dell’outdoor design da diversi punti di vista: da quello più commerciale, guardando ai prodotti che possono aiutare i propri progetti, a quello più da sognatori, dove si può pensare di cambiare il mondo con una tovaglia a quadri rossi e un cesto da picnic, arrivando così a toccare le persone più diverse tra loro e ispirando… se non un nuovo modo di essere,almeno una serata in compagnia.

Helping you to repeat a brand-new customized version of “ Dejuner sur l’herbe”, talking about inspirations and tools of any kind; we will reach everything : from the blanket to the grill, from the basket to the recipe and from “when” to … “where”
So many promises , so many premises , so what? And I decided to come up is arant about picnics ? I talked about the Guerrilla Gardening, Vertical Garden and reusing , and this should be my opening ?
Well, my intent is to try to demonstrate how a simple topic like this one can be addressed in a interesting way.
I surely do not want to ruin the spontaneity of an event such as the picnic, but I’m convinced that if you want it to be really good you have to design it(or “organize” it , depending on the point of view) .
In the post -25 I already went through how the designing can be applied to the success of a moment of conviviality, especially when it has to interact with nature.
The choice of this topic has also been made to try to bring to Italy ,especially in Milan (where I live) , the idea of picnic as a “ meeting”; it wants to lay the foundations for a “movement” of reappropriation of public spaces, whether they are public gardens, squares or the banks of some rivers.
The images that are still sparkling in my eyes are the one from when I was in Paris, where the time of my life would be being sat on the ground on the side of a blanket dotted with “delicatessen” ,chatting with all sorts of people… as the sun went down the habit was the bank of Seine or one of his countless pedestrian crosses; on Sunday was my consuetude to go in the city’s gardens.
I realize that Milan and Paris don’t have that much in common, especially for public spaces, but Milan is trying to change and it’s full of people that would do everything to show the world his potentiality, that’s why everything starts with the picnic…because what I want to do in this Blog is to run through the topic of the outdoor design by different path [oppure se preferisci, più letteralmente : go through the topic of outdoor design from different points of view ]: from the most commercial one ,looking at products that can help for the designing, to the one just for dreamers, where you can think you are going to change the world through a red &white squared picnic blanket and a basket, so that you would be able to reach people different among them and inspiring … maybe not a new way of living, but at least a night out.

Basterebbe un po’ di buona volontà da parte della pubblica amministrazione.
Comunque vorrei poter immaginare un Picnic non solo in un parco ma anche in una piazza, un museo, luoghi fantasiosi…cambierebbe l’umore di molti.
